AWA was fun, and it was nice being with southern friends I never get to see, and meeting some online artists I’ve known of for a long time. Even some people who know my work! It truly is a small world. Kudos to my friends who dragged me down by force and gave me the financial aid I needed in order to make the trip possible to begin with. Kudos to everyone else I met for making the trip extra memorable. (Apologies if I seemed too tired, or couldn’t think of much to say, or got your name wrong, or drew you a bad picture, or didn’t get a chance to draw anything for you at all.)
There are things other than AWA I should be writing about here, but just thought I’d get that shoutout out of the way right now. I returned home 3 hours ago.
Will I go again next year? I’m not sure. Atlanta is very far away, and getting there is not cheap. Maybe I could get a table in the Artist’s Alley for once so I can cover the costs. “You should get a table!” they say. “I’m too lazy to!!” I explain. One day, I may be there… There with my creepy amputee muses and a bag over my head.
